Many of the international machine learning conferences also host competitions which serves as a great entry point for high school students who are interested in pursuing AI.
We guide students on how to participate in these competitions and compete with teams from all across the world!
The conference we are targeting is an IEEE conference which will be held in Europe. Selected teams will be invited to present in-person
The competition is organized in two parts:
Solution submission. Deadline July 25th*
Research paper submission. Deadline August 25th*
(*tentative deadlines)
Our mentors will evaluate the technical strengths of the student in order to understand how to best guide them. This include their command on programming and analytical reasoning.
The competition has multiple streams each focusing on a different machine learning problem. We will use our judgement and student's interests in determining which machine learning problem is most suitable for the student
For each machine learning problem, we will form a team of 3-5 students. The students in a team will be chosen by the mentors based on individual students' strengths. The goal is to form a team that has complimentary skills and is best suited to win. The students in a team can be in-person or virtual.
The student will start working on the machine learning problem under the guidance of a mentor and they will meet at regular cadence to share their progress and discuss any roadblocks that they might be encountering.
Since we are working on a tight deadline for the competition, do expect multiple meetings during the week (in-person or virtual)
The first deadline for submitting the solution is July 25th, 2025*
The best form of learning is "learning on the job". Our mentors will teach students the machine learning concepts that are relevant to the success of their project.
After the initial solution is submitted, students will get 1 month to submit a research paper.
The student will work under the guidance of the mentor on the research paper. There are multiple sections in a research paper, and a successful paper requires that all sections are well written and thorough.
The instructor will guide the students on how to best present their results and write a good research paper.
The submission deadline for research paper is August 25th*
Winning teams will be invited to present at IEEE conference which will be held in Europe.
In the past, our mentors have presented their winning entries in Paris, and we hope the trend continues this year too 🤞
Application Deadline:
Apply by April 15, 2025: $4,499
What sets us apart from other similar programs is the experience of the Instructor:
The instructor has a proven track record of publishing high quality research papers at Top Machine Learning conferences like KDD, ECML, IEEE VIS etc. (20+ publications)
The instructor has been a conference organizer (Program Committee Member) and Reviewer for several Top Machine Learning conferences and Journals. They deeply understands the requirements for these conferences and what is needed to be able to publish in them
They have a PhD in Machine Learning and have been working in the industry for over 10 years. They have practically seen all types of problems that crop up when building machine learning solutions and know the elixir to solving these problems
Most importantly, they are passionate about teaching and guiding students in reaching their best potential.
Working on AI research projects will help you get the much needed edge for the college application. It will help you demonstrate your interest in the subject of Computer Science, Machine Learning, and the related fields through hands on learning experience and via innovative research contributions to the field. Starting to work on a research project at high school level under the guidance of a seasoned mentor will provide you a structural approach to problem-solving.
Identify a research problem --> Literature review --> Data collection and analysis --> Use AI algorithms to find a solution --> Result and Conclusion
Participating in scientific conferences require rigor, practice, knowledge and conviction - the attributes which are highly valued and coveted for in a college application. Working on AI projects with an aim to publish in a research conference is a perfect way to start your journey.
The program fees is $4,499
Yes, we do have a referral program as stated below:
Refer your friends and earn a $100 reward for every student who enrolls in the program. Your friend will also get a reward of $100. Your friend must put your name under the referral section while applying.
Referral bonuses will be disbursed after the 2nd session via Amazon gift cards
Not necessarily. We think of this program as 'Learning ML on the job'.
Our instructor will provide a crash course where they will teach the machine learning concepts that are needed for the successful implementation of the project.
We offer both In-Person and Virtual sessions. In-person sessions will be provided in Downtown, Sunnyvale. Office Address: 100 S Murphy Ave, Ste 200, Sunnyvale, CA
No. This is a student-driven program. The instructors are here to provide mentorship and guidance
Truth be told, even the AI legends like Geoff Hinton or Andrew Ng can't guarantee the acceptance of a paper, especially in double-blinded conferences. And we are mere mortals in-front of them 😉.
We can work on submitting our best work, but can't guarantee an acceptance of the paper.
Yes, we will provide a certificate of research collaboration upon the completion of the program.
Absolutely. Our instructors are there to help you every step of the way and you are free to ask them questions on future career paths and college admissions.
You may certainly reach out to us for a recommendation letter. It will be provided on the discretion of the Program Director.
You may cancel for a full refund (minus $135 administrative fee) until April 30th, 2025
